I was hesitant at first, thinking that a horse ranch may not be for us….but as soon as I spoke to Debbie on the phone I was excited and felt that we would definitely have a good time. We have truly felt like a part of the family, our mealtime conversations, our horseback rides and your hospitality have been over the top! We will be back, with more of our family. It was such a wonderful time for us at Free Rein Ranch – our first experience for riding and we all enjoyed it. Alissa doesn't want to leave! Thank you very much for your terrific hospitality, being with your family, nice talks, ‘grilled’ marsh mellows, a great thanksgiving. With the other nice guests, we could feel all the love and spirit build up and run this place!

Debs personal touch sold the deal in a search for a ranch. You’ve got it all going on here, great people, great scenery, great horses and a wonderful sense of community! We had a wonderful time at the Free Rein Ranch. The highlight was a family ride to Machete Lake and a refreshing swim! We have all improved our confidence in the saddle in such a friendly and encouraging environment. Thank you!
We are the first Italian guests but surely not the last! When we come back to Italy we’ll tell to our family and friends about the WONDERFUL days spent at Free Rein Ranch. Surely when we come back again some of them will come with us! You have to know that we felt completely at home like in a large family and we thank all of you for this! Now, before leaving, we want to say, as every morning before riding we said, ‘SEE YOU LATER!’
What a fantastic time we have had! Lots of wonderful trails with picnics and swimming as well as deer and bears! We loved the gymkhana games and cantering down the logging roads, bushwhacking on ‘Mervin's lost blanket’ trail, picking raspberries – lots of happy memories. Thanks guys – you’re great! I have met some of the best horses at this ranch, not at all your usual plodding ponies! Also the food has been amazing and the people even better. I never expected Canada to be quite so big! The atmosphere is wonderful, a real Western feel. And although I still love my jodhpurs, I will be sad to go back to English riding!
Thank you so much for these wonderful days. It was great to at last be able to forget what date it was and only focus on which mountain we were going to climb! If you’re ever hiring, we’d be happy to apply as Murilo’s helpers! Thanks to Boo and Casper who were good as gold to us x

This beautiful place would not be the same without the lovely people you are! I had such a nice time riding here with you. Everything was really fantastic, even Mervin’s jokes when riding! I keep the lucky stone and the smiles of everybody in my heart.
I can’t say anything more than what has been said here by everyone else. A life changing time spent here – I am now officially a ‘horsey’ person!
